Predicting the potential distribution and habitat variables associated with pangolins in Nepal

This research article presents a national baseline for the pangolin species and its distribution for Nepal. The publication comes as a result form the efforts put forward by a diverse international team in which ENPROSC’s Research head and Chair Mr. Prakash Chandra Aryal provided his contributions. The research published in Elsevier’s “Global Ecology and Conservation” was made available online on 12 April 2020. The article highlights the threats to the species and its habitat induced by human activity and climate change. The article discusses on pangolin species which are highly-threatened in Nepal and limited conservation actions for the species threatened by illegal hunting and poaching, and by the loss, degradation, and fragmentation of their habitats.
